At the end of every year there is a talk of changing trends in every industry and logo design trends are no exception to this rule. The word trend can at times also carry a negative connotation but they aren’t bad for the industry. Yes, trends don’t start on 1st January and end on 31st December but trends do disclose certain meaningful insights and help graphic design designers to evolve and allows us to advance forward.

Designing corporate identity logos is an important part of designing industry as it makes or breaks the company’s image or brand identity. Therefore it’s necessary that we follow certain trends of the industry and keep ourselves informed without restricting the creativity. Some of the trends of 2010, as seen so far have been listed below. • Big logos are in vogue. Oversized design of logos makes your visitors recollect your brand with ease.

• Graphic design designers are giving lot more importance to text based logos as they convey the intended message far more easily & perfectly, since such designs are more direct.

• The unbridled use of colors has become a standard practice these days.

• Typographic trends have not changed much because designers are disinclined to use new or different fonts.

• Free flowing and daring designs have replaced the old ones. The new trend could, at first sight, seem complex and over the top.

The art of logo designing is to create something that is timeless but following trends would give an idea as to why a certain design of logos isn’t successful. Think of it as some kind of inspiration that you think would work & then make the world go around it.
